Pin It Yeeeeeaaaaaah. About that giveaway. It's probably going to be a little longer than I think before I'm ready for that post. But that's okay because you're all patient, right?!
This past Saturday, I taught the second class for BeDazzled Block 1. As was the case with the first class, everyone present was pretty intimidated by this quilt. And as was the case with the first class, I did my best to reassure them and promised them it is easier than it looks.
There were a few hurdles to jump, but that always happens on the first day of a new class. We quickly recovered, and everyone went on their merry little way embroidering their hearts out. This class was different from the first in that they all at least started their second block! Most finished their second block!
Everyone had so much fun. They liked it so much, in fact, that they're willing to completely rearrange their schedule to work around mine to be sure they get to come to class next month. I'll be gone for a week in May for MQS, and both of my classes fall within that week! These ladies have tight schedules at times, so I think it's awesome they were willing to pull a switcheroo to come back and sew some more!
Here is a picture of four of them with their finished block:
I was going to show a sneak peak of MY BeDazzled quilt with the crystals on it, but due to unfortunate circumstances, I've decided to keep it private until after the show. Don't worry. If you're just dying to see it, you only have three and a half more weeks to wait! Which means I only have two weeks left to have it completely finished and shipped. EEEEEEEEEK!
Anyway, teaching this class has been exhausting so far, but it is so much fun to watch the ladies finish and be so proud of themselves! It makes my heart smile.
So I'm curious, what makes you happiest? What are you working on? Do you have any big project you're wanting to start? I want to hear what everyone else is up to!
PS - my quilt will actually be featured on a pretty cool blog site in a couple of weeks, so maybe you really will get a peak before the show!
