It occured to me that a lot of people that read this blog don't actually know me. Personally. So I thought I'd add a little "about me" section (obviously) to this here blog-type-thingy I've got going on here.
I'm 29 years old and a professional longarm quilter. To most people that know me from my life BQ (before quilting), I simply "make quilts". It is a profession that nobody understands unless they are directly linked to it. I'm okay with that. I like being a little bit mysterious!
I started quilting, all across the board, in November of 2008. I learned to longarm quilt before I even know how to properly cut, piece or press a top! I suppose that helped me in the long run. Through quilting other peoples' tops, I quickly learned why no-nos were no-nos and how to take steps to prevent them.
I'm currently doing my thing, keeping plenty busy with my list of customer quilts to quilt (I swear one day I'll quilt mine!) and somehow finding the courage to enter some shows for the first time. I figure that wanting to throw up every day because I'm that nervous about something, has to be a good thing. Right?
I have excellent friends. Friends that are creative and supportive and ambitious and AWESOME. I hope that you'd like to be one of them!
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you hang out with me for a while!
